Founder’s Story
Giulia Siffu
Hello, I’m Giulia, born and raised in Gallura, a land where the scent of Helichrysum floats in the air, and natural remedies are simply a part of life.
I grew up watching the women in my family use these plants with confidence and respect: for irritated skin, for sunburns, for everyday balance. For us, it wasn’t wellness, it was wisdom.
And it stayed with me.
WHAT WAS MISSING IN SKINCARE
For over ten years, I’ve worked in beauty, skincare product development and marketing, helping brands tell their story and create products that truly respect the skin.
But something was missing: the incredible healing power of Sardinian plants — especially Helichrysum — was almost impossible to find in Switzerland with this level of purity and tradition. And every time someone asked me what I used personally, my answer was always the same:
“I bring it from home.”
And so Sarda Zone was born
Not as a trend, not as a commercial idea, but as a way to share something deeply personal and authentic. A way to bring the Sardinian Blue Zone philosophy into modern skincare: longevity, simplicity, purity, and the belief that nature knows how to heal.
Every formula reflects my values:
ethics, safety, non-toxicity, effectiveness, and absolute respect for the skin.
I created Sarda Zone because I truly believe that Mediterranean plants, especially those from Sardinia, deserve a place in skincare routines worldwide. And because I want you to experience the same comfort and trust I’ve felt since I was a child applying Helichrysum on sunburns and scratches after long summer days.
Sarda Zone is more than a brand to me; it’s a piece of home, shaped by tradition and crafted with intention here in Switzerland.

What is Helichrysum?
Helichrysum is a medicinal herb native to the Mediterranean basin, particularly abundant in Sardinia. Its bright golden flowers and remarkable properties have made it a traditional remedy for centuries. The essential oil extracted from Helichrysum flowers is widely used in herbal care and natural skincare for its powerful benefits.
Its well-known properties include:
- Anti-inflammatory
- Astringent
- Antifungal
- Skin-repairing
Helichrysum is traditionally used to support skin affected by:
- Redness
- Chapped or cracked areas
- Dry or damaged skin
- Sensitive or reactive skin (including atopic tendencies)
- Sun-induced irritation
- Minor burns
- Itching and discomfort
While balms and oils are often used as targeted support for stressed skin, creams are ideal as a second step, helping maintain hydration once the skin begins to recover.
